Spend a season on the water, just a few miles inland from the Atlantic. This spacious 1998 square foot home, known as the “Crabbin’ Cabin,” sleeps up to 15, includes a party pavilion, and a floating dock on the deep-water of Gress River which is off of Jerico River in Midway, GA. The home lies just 10 minutes from gas stations and a grocery store. Savannah is 30 minutes drive away, as is Hinesville, home to Fort Stewart.

Good to know

The home lies on the riverfront. When you’re not on the water, fishing or exploring nearby, relax on the comfy screened-in porch. A covered dock and floating dock is nice for those who wish to fish, catch crabs or take in the view and relax. The home has 5 bedrooms and sleeps 15. There is a master bedroom with a king-sized bed. The second bedroom has a double and queen-sized bed. The other three bedrooms have a queen and a single bed. There are four bathrooms with showers and new fixtures. The kitchen features all the amenities you’ll need to cook the fish you catch. The living room and dining room are part of a large open area for those meals you choose to eat indoors. And the party barn has plenty of seating, which has a picnic table, and a grill. And the sunrise is worth waking up to!

Other Details to Note

There is a long driveway where multiple vehicles and work trailers can park. Guests are responsible for ensuring the safekeeping of the property keys during their stay. In the event of lost or missing keys, a $50 lockout fee will be charged, along with an additional $50 fee for key replacement. A portable child potty, high chair and bedrail are available. Boat landings at Sunbury (20 mins away and can put in at any tide) and at Jones Community Park (5 mins away and can only put in at high tide).

The property was fantastic. There was more than enough space for my large family, and everyone was happy and comfortable with the location. Fishing was the highlight of our weekend. We will definitely book this Airbnb again. The Airbnb is stocked with everything you need.

The home was absolutely perfect for our needs. The outdoor space was the highlight—we spent most of our time outside soaking in the beautiful water views. We barely touched the indoor kitchen because we loved cooking outside on the flat-top grill and BBQ. Inside, the house had everything you could possibly need: plenty of rooms with comfortable beds, a fully equipped kitchen, great air conditioning, and it was spotless and well-maintained. If I ever return to Savannah, I wouldn’t hesitate to stay in this wonderful, cozy home again.

Our family loved the Crabbin' Cabin! GREAT space for a large group, young and old. Lends itself to spending quality time together. Everything you need is nearly organized and easy to find. This place did not disappoint!

Space, space, and more space! We had 6 adults and 1 child and there was more than enough room to spread out. I loved the fact each couple got to have their own bathroom!! Kitchen is stocked with every utensil or appliance you might want which made gathering together to cook and share meals easy breezy! It was such a comfy, calm vibe and I would suggest it for those looking to get away for some R&R but still close to Savannah or Tybee if you want to get out and explore!

We had a large group, 8 adults and 5 children age 9 and under. The house and property were comfortable for our group for a week and the management was helpful with a few small issues. When we requested baby furniture we got a high chair and a few other items that were appreciated by our 1 1/2 yr-old. There is good fencing on the water side of the yard for keeping the little ones safe. We enjoyed all the outside fans, in the "party barn" and in the covered dock, as it was very hot during our visit. Between the well-stocked kitchen and the party barn we had a lot of cooking options, so ate quite a few meals at the house. Savannah city destinations were 40 minutes away and Tybee Island beaches were about an hour's drive. The town of Midway has a pool that is $3 per person to use, afternoons daily.

We had a very nice stay! The backyard was very peaceful and we enjoyed the back porch very much! This place is very cozy, the beds were very comfortable and enough hot water for showers at the same time! There was everything we needed to meet our needs as well. The host reached out many times to ensure our stay was pleasant.
